Ingredients
1 Onion
300g Walnuts
300g Mushrooms
1 Block Yipin Smoked Tofu
1 Beet (peeled and boiled)
1tsp Dried Thyme
1 tbsp White Vinegar/Apple Cider Vinegar
3 tbsp Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper
Method
Start by chopping your onion, mushrooms, beet and tofu into cubes.
Fry the onion in olive oil in a large frying pan on medium heat. Once the onion starts to become translucent, add the mushrooms.
Allow the mushrooms to release their water and start to crisp, before adding the smoked tofu, beet and walnuts.
Turn the heat to low and season this mix with dried thyme, salt and pepper. Allow the flavours to come together with the heat and for everything to brown a little.
Finally add the vinegar to deglaze the pan and remove from the heat.
Next blend everything together in a food processor or using a hand blender. It is best to allow the mix to cool before blending, most blenders will become overheated with hot ingredients.
